Edefe completed a LL.M in International and Comparative Law (American University in Cairo). During her time in Cairo, Edefe coordinated social and academic projects to showcase African history and culture and worked with other students to provide support for the diverse refugee population in Cairo, which comprised people from parts of Africa, Europe and the Middle East. She has done research at the ECOWAS Commission in Abuja on the Liberian peace process, and concluded her LL.M thesis on post-conflict governance in Liberia. A portion of the paper was presented at a conference at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. Edefe also has Diplomas in LL.B (University of Lagos) and BL (Nigerian Law School).  

Research Interest  

  • Role of different actors (government, regional and international institutions) influencing development policy in the Third World, particularly in Africa.
