Okey is a lawyer specializing in Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management. He worked with DCON Consulting, a law and policy consulting firm in Nigeria, organizing projects and training for government departments, organizations and professional groups in Nigeria and South Africa. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association’s Section on Business Law, and the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), London. Okey has a BA in Law (University of Nigeria), B.L (Nigerian Law School) and MA Conflict Security and Development (King’s College London). 

Research Interests 

• Reducing and preventing state fragility in West-Africa by supporting sub-regional capacities for Early Warning and Early Response
• Security Sector Reform (SSR) as a mean of conflict prevention in post-conflict and transitional societies
• Transitional Justice and International Criminal Law
