Musa is a serving Flight Lieutenant in the Nigerian Air Force. In this capacity he contributed to policy formulation and implementation of strategies in assisting host communities with their development programmes. He was the Public Relations Officer of the Military Pensions Board, Ministry of Defence, Nigeria. Musa was involved in several internal security operations aimed at restoring peace during internal crisis among which are the 2001 and 2003 communal conflicts in the Kaduna metropolis. He also participated in post conflict confidence building initiatives to reintegrate communities’ in the aftermath of such crises. Musa has a BSc in Political Science and Defence Studies (Nigerian Defence Academy).
