'L. Muthoni Wanyeki works on development communications, gender and human rights and has published in these areas.  She has served as the Executive Director of the African Women's Development and Communication Network (FEMNET), as well as of the Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC).  She continues to serve on the advisory committees/Boards of several African and other organisations, including Human Rights Watch's Africa programme and the Open Society's Afrimap and Justice Initiative.  She is also a columnist for the East African.
